Tackles, Tries and Line-outs at this year’s Northampton Town Festival

This year’s Northampton Town Festival is jam-packed with entertainment for all ages, by all ages! It’s all about the local connection, and most of our displays, entertainment and music acts are provided by the people of Northampton. Joining us on Saturday and Sunday is Northampton Mens Own Rugby Club, who are bringing their Mini and Junior teams to the festival to show off their skills on the pitch.

Mens Own is an award-winning club founded in 1922, and has been nurturing young people through sport; encouraging fitness, teamwork, and fun ever since! But they’re not just about rugby – they also open up their clubhouse, based in Ashton, to the local community to host events from beer festivals to Christenings.

At Northampton Town Festival, the Junior and Mini teams will be putting on rugby displays in the main arena on Saturday at 11am and 2pm, and on Sunday at 11am and 3.45pm. Be sure to come along and see the young talent in Northampton and learn a little about Rugby Union at the same time! What’s more, if youngsters are interested in getting involved, members of the Club will be available at their stall all weekend to give more information and to sign up any new, budding rugby players.

The Northampton Town Festival is at the Racecourse on 1st and 2nd July – a great day out for families with a whole host of entertainment, live music, local produce, trade stalls, a giant funfair, and much more! Be sure to join our Facebook page and event to keep up to date with the latest news about our highly anticipated summer event!
