Hot off the press – Kid Zone at The Northampton Town Festival

New for 2017, Northampton Town Festival brings you Kid Zone!  A fully interactive area focussing on children and families.

Kid Zone is an area set aside for younger visitors and their families and will have tables to sit and eat at, smaller fairground rides next door, nappy changing facilities and much more.  Organiser David Bailey said, “We know how important it is to engage with some of our younger visitors so we wanted to create a really fun area just for them.  The show is a really family friendly event with rides, stalls, attractions, food and entertainment to suit all ages.  We are very excited to be bringing this new dimension to the festival and we are looking forward to welcoming the younger generation to Kid Zone”.

Situated next to the fun fair, Kidzone will play host to Kiddi Caru’s Creche, Foster Care Associates Big Pink Bus, Aqualight children and baby swimming school, Tony’s reptile show – full of reptiles and creepy crawlies to thrill and delight, the Scouts, the Army Cadets, face painting and  Proaction Martial Arts (also demonstrating in the main arena) will be on hand to answer questions and provide class information.  The Cobblers football club will be hosting a goal competition for children throughout the weekend – keep an eye out for details.

Visitors to the Festival interested in finding out more about becoming a foster carer are invited to jump on board Foster Care Associates (FCA)’s Big Pink Bus to find out first-hand from FCA carers and experienced social workers how to get involved and help dozens of children and young people in Northampton who are in need of a foster family. The Big Pink Bus is brimming with information and goodie bags complete with information booklets, pens, water bottles, trolley pens and other freebies for people who are interested in fostering to take away with them.

The show, now in its second year, expects to see in excess of 60,000 visitors over the weekend who will be entertained by the likes of The Knights of Nottingham, The Vander Wheel of Death, The Lawmen, firework displays after dark, fun fair rides and much much more.  It is free entry to the showground, with ample parking (£5) and food and refreshments readily available throughout the ground.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
